Joanne began singing lessons at age 6, performing at the Sydney Opera House and recording an album with seven other 6-8 year olds in a Sydney Recording Studio. She studied dance at Pamela Shields Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and Drama at Centrehouse Drama School.
